Sivagurunathaswamy Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located at Sivapuram near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district. Shiva is worshipped as Sivagurunathaswamy, and the Goddess is Singaravalli. The temple is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams and is praised in the Tevaram hymns of Thirugnanasambandar and Appar. The shrine is traditionally associated with Surya worship and is considered an important ancient Shaiva temple in the Kumbakonam region.
