☀️ The Mythological Story of Surya Blessing & King Sibi
🌌 The Great King Sibi and His Dharma
Long ago, there ruled a noble king named Sibi Chakravarthy, known for his unmatched truthfulness, generosity, and commitment to dharma.
He was so righteous that even the gods wanted to test his devotion to truth.
King Sibi’s qualities were:
- Never lied in his life
- Protected all living beings equally
- Practiced extreme charity
- Followed dharma above personal comfort
🔥 The Divine Test Begins
To test his truth, Lord Indra (Surya’s divine realm influence) and other celestial beings created a situation.
A frightened pigeon flew into King Sibi’s lap, seeking protection.
Immediately after, a hawk followed demanding its prey, saying:
“O King, this pigeon is my food. Give it to me or balance justice!”
⚖️ The Ultimate Sacrifice
King Sibi was trapped in a moral dilemma:
- Protect the innocent pigeon
- Or respect the hawk’s hunger
To maintain dharma, he decided:
“I will give my own flesh equal to the weight of the pigeon.”
He placed the pigeon on one side of a scale and began offering his own flesh on the other.
🌟 The Miracle of Surya (Sun God)
Even after offering his entire body, the pigeon’s weight remained unchanged.
At that moment:
- The celestial beings revealed the divine test
- King Sibi’s body was restored
- Lord Surya appeared in radiant form
Surya Bhagavan said:
“Your truth shines brighter than the Sun itself.”
